Located in the innovative environment of “DIE HALLE” in VS-Schwenningen (Germany), the InnovationsNight // HFU-Start-up Night on November 19, 2021 offered a mixed program for founders and people interested in founding.
In addition to two keynote speeches by the company Reiner and serial founder Bruno Filkin, four start-ups pitched to the audience and the jury. The start-up consulting service of Furtwangen University startUPcampus@HFU presented its new creative space in the “HALLE” and showed what it has to offer for people interested in starting a business at HFU. The “CreativHub” with its co-working spaces also officially started operations.
The InnovationsNight // HFU-Start-up Night was organized by startUPcampus@HFU in cooperation with “DIE HALLE – Kreativ- und Gründerzentrum”, the SBH Business Development Agency and the SBH Chamber of Commerce and Industry. Prof. Dr. Eva Kirner from the Faculty of Economics and one of the start-up officers at HFU led through the evening’s program.
Four start-ups from the region presented their business ideas. The spectrum of topics ranged from IT for schools to innovative insurance brokerage, healthy catering at the workplace and blockchain gaming with NFTs. Both in the jury’s and the audience’s vote, Samantha Sernatinger came first with her start-up idea “Schlemmerpost”. She is currently developing a subscription model for employers who want to provide pre-cooked lunches for their employees that can be kept for several months in a jar without refrigeration and prepared quickly.
HFU professor Norbert Schnell provided a special live sound experience with the Klangdom and a “Drops” sound installation controlled via the attendees’ smartphones. In the WorldCafe format, participants exchanged ideas about start-up and creative topics and articulated their wishes. The evening ended with networking in a relaxed atmosphere and delicious catering, accompanied by electronic music.
