Meeting of the Special Interest Group (SIG) Industry Partnership

The Special Interest Group (SIG) Industry Partnership came together for the first time on November 24, 2021 to discuss experiences and best practices regarding industry collaborations.

The first meeting on the Industry Partnership focus topic took place in an online format on November 24, 2021. Participants were people from Germany, France and Switzerland working in the transfer offices of the institutions involved in the environment of KTUR. The meeting was organized and hosted by the KTUR staff of Kaiserslautern University of Applied Sciences (Germany).

After a presentation on the relevant framework conditions and activities regarding industry collaborations at the UAS Kaiserslautern, the group discussed different aspects, e.g. how to achieve balanced partnerships with companies and focus more on their needs and interests. The partners agreed that the primary goal of the SIG should be to collect best practice examples and to check them for their cross-border applicability in the Upper Rhine region.

The group agreed that the Business Club of the Karlsruhe Institute for Technology would organize the following meeting. We are thus looking forward to further exciting insights into collaborations between universities and companies in the Upper Rhine valley.

What are the Special Interest Groups (SIG)? The SIG allow an in-depth exchange of knowledge and experiences concerning specific topics within the KTT sector between employees of the transfer offices of the KTUR partner institutions. The focus topics of the other SIG defined within KTUR are: “From patent to market” and “Collaborative R&D”.
