The Venture Dates offer a platform bringing together start-ups, investors, and co-founders around a common goal: meeting, exchanging ideas, and creating valuable contacts for the future. On September 30, 2026, the event returns to Landau, as part of the KTUR², in cooperation with the RPTU & the Innovationsagentur RLP.

The day will be organized around a private speed-dating session, exclusively reserved for start-ups and investors, who will be able to get to know each other at dedicated booths, before continuing the exchanges in a more informal setting, over snacks and drinks.

On 6 October 2026, the Institute of Reliable Embedded Systems and Communication Electronics (ivESK) at Offenburg University of Applied Sciences will open its labs to companies from the region as part of the Zukunft.Lab.Schwarzwald visit series.

How can machines, sensors and control systems be networked wirelessly – securely, with high reliability and in real time? ivESK designs, implements and evaluates innovative connectivity solutions for the Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT). Its research focuses on the data security of network protocols for device-level Operational Technology (OT), on real-time capable and highly reliable communication under demanding and dynamic environmental conditions, and on the use of forward-looking radio systems. Tailored, optimised solutions are not only developed and integrated, but also validated under realistic conditions.

Close cooperation with partners from industry, business, associations and standardisation bodies makes it possible to transfer application-oriented research into future products, systems and architectures. During the visit, participants will get an on-site look at the labs and learn how modern communication and security technologies lay the foundation for reliable, connected and future-proof industrial applications. Afterwards, there will be time for personal exchange with the researchers.

The Zukunft.Lab.Schwarzwald visit series connects regional companies with the research institutes of the southern Upper Rhine, showcases hands-on innovation and opens up new opportunities for cooperation. The event is organised together with the IHK Südlicher Oberrhein (Chamber of Industry and Commerce) as part of Zukunft.Raum.Schwarzwald, with the support of the KTUR network.

On 6 November 2026, Strasbourg will host the first edition of the Health Innovation Nexus, an event dedicated to healthcare innovation in the Upper Rhine region.

Hosted at IRCAD, the event will bring together key players from the French, German and Swiss ecosystems: startups, SMEs, researchers, healthcare institutions, corporates, technology transfer organisations and academia.

The day will provide an opportunity to build new cross-border connections, discover emerging technologies and exchange experiences on the major transformations shaping the healthcare sector.

Topics will include artificial intelligence, digital health, health data and the EHDS, emerging technologies, health sovereignty and entrepreneurship.

The Health Innovation Nexus aims to strengthen collaboration between the three countries and foster new opportunities for cooperation, innovation and knowledge transfer across the Upper Rhine region.
