A network for actors in the Transfer of Knowledge and Technologies.

The Knowledge Transfer Upper Rhine 2 (KTUR²) project offers companies privileged access to innovation and cutting-edge technologies by focusing on several strategic axes in the Upper Rhine.

KTUR's mission

12 universities and their research units are joining forces to create a solid bridge between the academic and business worlds in the cross-border Upper Rhine region, where Germany, France and Switzerland meet. Supported by key players such as CCI Alsace Eurométropole, Conectus and Grand Est Développement, the regional transformation agency, KTUR² (Knowledge Transfer Upper Rhine): Boosting trinational innovation, amplifies cross-border knowledge and technology transfer (KTT).

The Upper Rhine, at the heart of Europe, is home to successful SMEs, visionary start-ups and major international corporations.

What does KTUR² want to achieve?

  • To unite scientific and industrial forces: to create lasting synergies between cutting-edge research and industry.
  • To stimulate local economy: transform academic advances into innovations
  • To strengthen the trinational network: facilitate exchanges between experts, researchers and entrepreneurs from the three countries

KTUR² network brings together the knowledge and technology transfer offices of the universities and academic
research units of the Upper Rhine to stimulate innovation in the region.
Launched in Septembre 2024, the 3-year KTUR² project is supported by the European Union.
