calendrier

16/07/2026

The KTUR² consortium (Knowledge Transfer Upper Rhine) will be present on July 16 at the Käpsele Innovation Festival, focusing on a key theme: “Where Fundamental Research Meets Market Innovation.”

For this occasion, KTUR² will highlight the essential synergy between academic exploration and entrepreneurial application, showing how ideas born in the lab can turn into concrete opportunities for businesses.

A definite highlight of the program:

The panel discussion “Future Tech Unpacked: How Fundamental Research Creates New Markets,” starting at 4:00 PM.
It will bring together renowned experts: Valerie Lang (University of Freiburg), Sven J. Koerner (KIT alumnus), and Manuel Yguel (University of Strasbourg).

Together, they will unpack the “magic” of the lab and discuss how curiosity-driven research  in AI, robotics, and beyond  turns into viable products and new markets.
KTUR²’s participation reflects the strength of trinational cooperation between Germany, France, and Switzerland. By bringing together leading minds from the University of Freiburg, KIT, and the University of Strasbourg, the event becomes a true hub for SMEs, startups, and tech enthusiasts looking to connect and accelerate the journey from science to business.
